    Senior OD Coffee Chat:
    Before the Workday Takes Over

A monthly virtual gathering where senior OD professionals tackle the questions that don't get enough airtime anywhere else.

    About this series

Some of the best thinking happens over coffee, before the workday takes over.

Each month, a small group of senior OD professionals gathers to dig into one pressing question facing the field. Topics are drawn from current research, real organizational challenges, and the things practitioners are quietly wrestling with — not the polished conference version, but what's actually happening on the ground.

Whether you're an independent consultant or an internal leader navigating complex change, the goal is the same: leave with at least one new perspective worth taking back to work.

    The Leadership Lunch:
A Peer Conversation for Senior OD

An intimate, peer-only gathering for senior OD professionals — designed for the kind of candid, unhurried exchange that rarely happens at larger events.

    About this gathering

This is more than a networking event — it's a space to reconnect with purpose, reflect honestly on the challenges facing our field, and engage in real dialogue with people walking similar paths.

Senior OD professionals rarely get a room where they can speak plainly about the hard stuff: where OD is falling short, what actually works with executive teams, and what the field needs to become. This lunch creates that room.

Conversations are guided but informal — structured enough to go somewhere, open enough to follow the energy in the room. Spots are intentionally limited to keep the exchange meaningful.

    Questions we'll explore together

    1

How do you translate the intangible work of OD into results that leaders recognize and value?

    2

What has actually worked when it comes to influencing executive teams or shaping organizational direction?

    3

Where are the most significant gaps between OD theory and practice right now — and what would it take to close them?

    4

What does making OD visible look like in your organization — and where does it still stay invisible?

    What to expect

    Peer-level conversation
Everyone in the room has navigated the systemic and strategic end of OD. No introductory framing required.
    Intentionally small
Limited spots, curated for depth. This is quality over quantity by design.
    Shaped by the room
Conversations are guided but not scripted — the direction follows what's most alive for the people present.
    Lunch included
Lunch, coffee and tea, and gratuity are all covered by your ticket. Just show up.

    Who this is for

This gathering is designed exclusively for OD professionals with 10 or more years of experience in the field — consultants, practitioners, and leaders who have been doing this long enough to have real questions about where OD is headed and what it means in practice.

Not sure if this is right for you? If you're navigating the strategic, systemic, and sometimes political dimensions of OD work and you're looking for peers who get it — this is a conversation for you.

At BCODN, events are the heartbeat of our community. Each tier is designed with a specific audience and purpose in mind, from senior leadership dialogue, to professional development for emerging practitioners, to informal gatherings that build lasting connections.

Leadership Circles

For senior OD, HR, and business leaders

Leadership Circles are monthly, in-person gatherings that bring together experienced OD professionals, HR leaders, and executives. These curated sessions focus on peer-level dialogue about current challenges, emerging practices, and the future of organizational development.

Often hosted in partnership with centers of excellence such as the Montalbano Centre for Responsible Leadership, these events are designed to:

  • Bridge the gap between OD and business leadership

  • Elevate the profile of senior OD practitioners

  • Create space for thought leadership and influence

  • Provide opportunities for both panel discussions and social connection

Insight Circles

For early or mid-career OD practitioners

Insight Circles are quasi-monthly online sessions focused on learning and applied practice. These interactive events create space for:

  • Case studies and practice-based discussions

  • Presentations on OD tools, frameworks, and approaches

  • Networking for those building their careers in OD

Insight Circles are a welcoming space for students, new practitioners, and professionals expanding into OD. Members enjoy free access.

Social Mixers

For everyone in the BCODN Community

Social Mixers are quarterly networking events designed to bring the community together in an informal, collegial setting. These gatherings are an opportunity to:

  • Expand your network

  • Reconnect with colleagues

  • Share ideas and experiences in a relaxed environment

In some cases, Mixers are paired with Leadership Circles, creating a natural flow from structured dialogue to casual connection.
