Dancing on Shifting Sands: Skills to Thrive in a VUCA World

$5 – $20It can be relatively easy to identify the skills required to thrive in a VUCA world. Now there’s an opportunity to practice them!
In this highly interactive session, there will be several opportunities to engage your hands and minds. Participants will learn terms and concepts to embrace personally and/or to apply in their organization development work, all within in the context of VUCA: Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity.
This engaging workshop is suitable for beginners and seasoned Organization Development (OD) professionals, as well as leaders, change management practitioners, managers, consultants and team members. Anyone with an open mind is welcome!
The workshop begins at 6:30pm (PST), but join us at 6:00 for a bonus warm up activity!
Learning Objectives:
- Build confidence in your ability to make conscious choices regarding the behaviours that are suited for a fast changing world;
- Get better acquainted with fellow participants; and,
- Have fun! Optional, but highly recommended.
Facilitator Bio:
David Gouthro is a seasoned (but not too spicey) speaker with over 40 years’ experience. David is a sought after consultant who is best known for his creative presentations, playful demeanor and relentless focus on delivering value to his clients, colleagues and community.
David’s experience comes from working with clients on four continents and in organizations that range from mining, energy, health care and financial services, to high tech, biotech, government and the not-for-profit sector. A deep listener with a strong sense of humour and an incessant to desire to serve/support others, David is a highly regarded speaker, facilitator and event emcee. When organizations are ‘stuck’, David gets things moving!
As the father of a precocious 21 year old daughter, David embraces the qualities of humility, patience, good humour and his own parental inadequacies.
