2021 AGM and Speaker Event

Free – $25Annual General Meeting & Speaker Event: Dr. Yabome Gilpin-Jackson
Join BCODN members and OD colleagues to network, learn about programs that BCODN has developed and implemented over the past year, and share your thoughts and ideas with the community. Current BCODN members will have the opportunity to vote in new members of the BCODN Board of Directors. This event is free for BCODN Members although a ticket is required to register. Cost for non-Members is $25 (see below).

5:45-6:00 pm: Networking and Zoom meeting set up
6:00-7:00 pm: Annual General Meeting
7:00-close: Speaker Event: Yabome Gilpin-Jackson, PhD.
Please note that registration to attend this event will end at noon on Thursday, June 16. Please be sure to register before then.
Location:
Virtual on Zoom. A password will be provided to registered participants.
Who Should Attend?
All BCODN members and friends, and anyone new to BCODN who would like to meet members of the OD community. This will be an interactive presentation with time for Q&A.

Speaker Event
In an Era of Transformative and Traumatic Disruptions . . . What Can Organization Development (OD) Bring?
This session will support OD professionals to explore the shifting and growing role of OD in our current transformative and traumatic times. Themes from the OD Review special issue of the same title and an overview of the possibility of posttraumatic transformation will be shared. Participants will be invited into dialogue and facilitative processes to explore: “What can OD bring?”
A copy of the speaker’s book Transformation After Trauma: The Power of Resonance, will be given away through a random draw of registered participants.
Speaker Bio:
Dr. Yabome Gilpin-Jackson is a multi-award winning scholar-practitioner in human & organization development with research awards and professional recognitions in Canada, UK and the United States including being the very first recipient of the ODN Emerging Practitioner Award. She is an executive leader, consultant and educator in Leadership, Organization Development and Social Systems Change in academia and across the private, public, nonprofit sectors. She has authored peer-reviewed journals and book chapters, is author of short story collections about global African experiences and Lead Editor of the We Will Lead Africa series. Yabome is also currently Chair of the OD Network.
