Who are you? When I am not engaged in business development and creative development at the Media FX group, I am helping to create the next wave of multi-media talent in BC as an instructor in the New Media Design program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) and Vancouver Film School (VFS). As one of the founders of the Media FX Group, over 10 years ago, I have been focused on corporate website and video production as well as the creation of graphics for digital signage. Many of the larger productions we worked on, have been in the support of events (AGM, sales meetings, awards shows, product launches, etc.). We work with marketing and communications managers to help them make their materials more dynamic and engaging. Companies like A&W, Walmart, Clarica, Hartford Insurance and organizations like the BC Technologies Association and the Sports Hall of Fame all use our services. The courses that I teach include; Information Architecture, Human Factors, Media Techniques, Motion Graphics and Interface Design. These courses more or less all deal with the development of building a website, though many of the strategies and techniques are equally valuable in a video/film, audio, or print production.

What’s your favourite quote and why? I’ve selected two …because they complete my theory on what life is all about. That is… a journey to be lived, with passion and with love. Knowing that you can only control, what you do and say. “Success is not something you get out of what you do.” – Dr. Wayne Dyer AND “The aim of life is to live, and to live means to be aware, joyously, drunkenly, serenely, divinely aware.” – Henry Miller
